Iceland’s best-known sights, done slowly and in comfort. Instead of racing round the whole island, this tour stays in the southwest and gives each place time — with first-class hotels (Hótel Borg in Reykjavík, Hótel Húsafell and Hótel Geysir), a small group of no more than 22, private taxi transfers to and from the airport, and three dinners and two lunches included. It suits couples, honeymooners, families with children of 8 and above, and anyone who prefers fewer hotel changes and more time at each stop.
The glacier day is the one people talk about. In West Iceland you see Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe, and the lava-fed falls of Hraunfossar, then ride up onto Langjökull to walk Into the Glacier — a tunnel carved deep inside the ice. On the Golden Circle you soak at Hvammsvík Hot Springs, taste rye bread baked in the hot ground at Laugarvatn Fontana, then see Þingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir.
The South Coast and Reykjanes finish the picture: Seljalandsfoss, which you can walk behind, Skógafoss, the black sand of Reynisfjara and the village of Vík. On the last day you stand on the Bridge Between Continents, look into the Kerið crater and end with a long soak in the Blue Lagoon. Don’t miss the Skógar Folk Museum — over 15,000 objects that show how Icelanders lived in turf houses.
Why go now? This tour runs year-round, so you can choose midnight-sun summer or a winter departure when the dark skies around Húsafell and Geysir give you a chance of the Northern Lights (there is no organised aurora programme on this tour). With only 22 seats per departure, summer dates fill early. Iceland is a Schengen country — our team arranges your Schengen visa along with the tour. For more ideas, read our guide to places to visit in Iceland.
Good to know: this is a small-group tour with a maximum of 22 travellers. For a custom private package — your own dates, private vehicle and guide, upgraded hotels — please contact our team for a personalised quote. Breakfast is included daily, plus lunch on Days 2 and 4 and dinner on Days 3, 4 and 5. The Into the Glacier tunnel depends on ice and weather conditions. Bring a swimsuit for the three hot-spring visits. Flights are booked separately from any Indian city; you’re met with a taxi at Keflavík airport. Minimum age is 8. Prices from €4,390 per person (about ₹4,82,900) on twin sharing.
Other ways to see Iceland: to see the whole island in winter, take Iceland Circle & Northern Lights, 8 days; for a summer ring road with the Westfjords and whale watching, choose the Grand Tour of Iceland, 12 days. Short on time? Land of Northern Lights, 5 days covers the south in winter, and the holidays bring Christmas in Iceland, 5 days and New Year in Iceland, 5 days.
