The complete Iceland, in the season of light. This is the tour for travellers who want to see everything once and properly: a fully escorted circle of the island that adds the two regions most tours skip — the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the remote Westfjords. It runs only in summer, from May to August, when the roads to the far west are open, the puffins are on the cliffs and the sun barely sets. Groups are small, 20 travellers at most, and nine three-course dinners are included, so evenings are easy.

The west is the highlight. You walk 35 metres underground in the Vatnshellir lava cave, take the ferry across Breiðafjörður into the Westfjords, and stand beneath Dynjandi, a waterfall that spreads down the mountain in seven steps. Don’t miss Látrabjarg — Europe’s westernmost point, where millions of seabirds, puffins among them, nest on cliffs up to 440 metres high — and the empty red-gold sand of Rauðisandur.

Then the classic ring road. Whale watching from Akureyri and the herring town of Siglufjörður in the north; Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss and a float in the Vök Baths; the East Fjords; a boat among the icebergs at Jökulsárlón; and the South Coast and Golden Circle before a farewell dinner in Reykjavík.

Why go now? Departures run only nine times a year, every second Monday from 10 May to 30 August 2027, with 20 seats each — the June and July dates go first. Iceland is a Schengen country; our team arranges your Schengen visa along with the tour. Planning your list? Read our guide to places to visit in Iceland.

Good to know: this is a small-group tour with a maximum of 20 travellers. For a custom private package — your own dates, private vehicle and guide, upgraded hotels — please contact our team for a personalised quote. Hotels are comfortable country and farm hotels chosen for their locations, often the only places to stay in remote areas. Breakfast is daily and dinner is included every night except Day 7; lunches are at roadside stops. Pack layers and a rain jacket even in summer. Flights are booked separately from any Indian city, and you arrive and leave through Keflavík on the Flybus shuttle. Minimum age is 8. Prices from €6,700 per person (about ₹7,37,000) on twin sharing.

Other ways to see Iceland: for a shorter, more relaxed trip in first-class hotels, choose Gracious Southwest Iceland, 7 days. In winter, go round the island with Iceland Circle & Northern Lights, 8 days, or see the Westfjords under the aurora on Northern Lights & Westfjords, 11 days. Compare every route on our Iceland tour packages from India page.
