Two Icelands in one trip. The first five days cover the classics — Reykjavík, the Blue Lagoon, the waterfalls and black beaches of the South Coast and the Golden Circle. Then, after a free day in the capital, you head north-west into the Westfjords, the least visited corner of the country, for three nights of deep fjords, tiny fishing villages and very dark skies. An English-speaking guide drives the whole way. It suits travellers who have time for a proper Iceland holiday and want more than the usual five-day loop.
The south is Iceland’s postcard. You walk behind Seljalandsfoss, stand in the spray of Skógafoss, see turf houses at the Skógar Folk Museum and watch the Atlantic roll onto Reynisfjara. On the Golden Circle, Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss come in one easy day.
The Westfjords are why this tour exists. Based in Ísafjörður, you visit Dynjandi, a waterfall that fans out down the mountainside like a bridal veil, the fishing village of Flateyri, the Ósvör Maritime Museum and a bookshop that has been open since 1914. Don’t miss the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft in Hólmavík — strange, local and unforgettable. With almost no light pollution, these are some of the best aurora nights in Iceland.
Why go now? The winter departure leaves on 11 February 2027, right in the Northern Lights season, which runs from September to mid-April. Groups are capped at 40 and there are only a handful of departures a year. Iceland is a Schengen country — our team arranges your Schengen visa along with the tour. Planning the timing? See the best time to see the Northern Lights.
Good to know: this is a group coach tour with a maximum of 40 travellers. For a custom private package — your own dates, private vehicle and guide, upgraded hotels — please contact our team for a personalised quote. The price includes daily breakfast and five lunches in the Westfjords. The from-price uses budget rooms (the Reykjavík room is compact, about 10 m²); a comfort upgrade with Hótel Klettur and studio rooms in Hella is available. You arrive and leave through Keflavík airport on the Flybus shuttle, and flights are booked separately from any Indian city. Minimum age is 8. The Northern Lights can’t be guaranteed, but six evenings give you excellent odds. Prices from €4,335 per person (about ₹4,76,900) on twin sharing.
Other ways to see Iceland: for a short break, take Land of Northern Lights, 5 days — the first half of this trip on its own. To go right round the island, choose Iceland Circle & Northern Lights, 8 days. For the holidays, see Christmas in Iceland, 5 days and New Year in Iceland, 5 days.
