Yes, travelling to Leh Ladakh is completely secure, and tourists are treated with great respect. Because the altitude is high and the temperature is low, you will need to acclimate in order to fully appreciate the overwhelming majesty of this beautiful region during your Ladakh tour packages.
There are only a few operators and hotels that take credit cards, and there will be a 2% service charge. Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and Punjab National Bank all have ATMs in Leh. There are no ATMs outside of Leh city.
If you visit Leh in May, the mountains will be covered in old, frozen snow. Around May, the possibilities of new snowfall are slim.
To cross Rohtang Pass, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake in Ladakh, some inner line permits are required in a few locations. If you arrive at Rohtang early in the morning, there is a good probability that no one will verify your permit. However, it is preferable to obtain your permits. You'll need two permits each for Nubra and Pangong.
During your road trip or while travelling by road, you will pass through 30% road and 70% off-street areas. After passing through Manali, you'll travel to Leh, then to Pangong and Nubra, which are a combination of roads and off-road. There are paved sections as well as areas with large stones along the road. The best part is that the majority of your experience will take place off-road.
The temperature in Ladakh during the winter is roughly -40 degrees. The region receives the least rainfall due to its high altitude, very low temperatures, and Himalayan environment, making Ladakh a cold desert.
