One thing we’ll say plainly: a honeymoon is not the trip to over-pack. Couples who try to combine four countries in eight nights spend the holiday in transit. A domestic honeymoon is the right call more often than couples expect — no visa, no currency, a shorter flight, and you can leave within days of the wedding. India’s honeymoon destinations split cleanly into three moods: snow and valleys, backwaters and beaches, or cool hill stations. Here’s how IMAD Travel couple packages choose between them.

Here’s the honest version: if your wedding runs into the week you’d travel, do not book a long-haul international honeymoon you’ll be too tired to enjoy. A few couples a year tell us they wish they’d done Kerala first and saved the Maldives for their first anniversary. Two things worth knowing. First, the Indian wedding season (roughly November to February, and again April to June) is also peak honeymoon-booking season — resorts in the Maldives and Bali fill their best villa categories early, so a short lead time costs you choice, not just price. Second, the Maldives “wet season” is rarely a washout — rain tends to come in short bursts, and shoulder-season rates can be 30–40% lower. If your dates land in May to September, ask us before you rule the Maldives out.

One honest note on tiers: for a beach honeymoon, the jump from deluxe to luxury genuinely changes the trip — an overwater villa is a different holiday from a beach room. For a city or multi-country Europe honeymoon, the gap matters far less; you’re out sightseeing all day either way. We’ll tell you which upgrades are worth it for your specific trip and which aren’t.

In practice that means two things for a honeymoon: when a resort is nearly full, we can often still secure a villa, and when there’s an unpublished promotion or a honeymoon perk, you hear it from us first.
