Northern Lights programme on 5 evenings, with your guide watching the forecast
All of Iceland in one week, with the night sky thrown in. This is a fully escorted Ring Road journey: an English-speaking guide drives you right round the island, from Reykjavík up to Akureyri and Lake Mývatn, across the East Fjords, past the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and back along the South Coast. You sleep somewhere new almost every night, mostly in country hotels away from city lights — exactly what you want for aurora hunting. It suits couples, friends and families with children of 8 and above who want to see the whole country without driving on winter roads themselves.
The north and Mývatn are the part most short trips miss. Goðafoss is a wide horseshoe of a waterfall, and around Lake Mývatn you walk among the black lava towers of Dimmuborgir and the steaming vents of Námaskarð before an evening soak at the Mývatn Nature Baths — quieter than the Blue Lagoon and included in your price.
The south-east is the showpiece. At Jökulsárlón, icebergs calved from Vatnajökull drift across the lagoon and wash up on the black sand. Then the South Coast lines up its classics: Reynisfjara, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, where a path runs behind the falling water. Don’t miss the Icelandic Lava Show in Vík country — real molten lava, poured and flowing just a few metres from your seat.
Why go now? The Northern Lights season runs from September to mid-April, and this circle includes five evenings of Northern Lights programme — more chances than any shorter trip. Departures are fixed and limited to 30 travellers, so the November and early-spring dates fill first. Iceland is a Schengen country; our team handles your Schengen visa too. For the best months, read when to see the Northern Lights.
Good to know: this is a group coach tour with a maximum of 30 travellers. For a custom private package — your own dates, private vehicle and guide, upgraded hotels — please contact our team for a personalised quote. Breakfast is included daily plus one dinner (in Akureyri); for other meals your guide stops at restaurants and supermarkets. You arrive and leave through Keflavík airport on the Flybus shuttle, and flights are booked separately from any Indian city. Minimum age is 8. The Northern Lights depend on the sky — we can’t guarantee them, but five evenings give you a strong chance. Prices from €2,960 per person (about ₹3,25,600) on twin sharing.
Land at Keflavík airport and take the Flybus shuttle to your hotel in Reykjavík (about 50 km). The rest of the day is free to explore the harbour, Hallgrímskirkja church and the colourful old town. Overnight in Reykjavík.
Day 2 - Volcano Crater, Turf Houses & Akureyri
Meet your guide at 09:00 and head north. Climb the rim of the Grábrók crater, then visit the turf houses of the Glaumbær folk museum before following the fjords to Akureyri, the capital of the north (about 415 km). Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Akureyri.
Day 3 - Goðafoss & Lake Mývatn
A short look around Akureyri (whale watching is optional from April to October), then on to Goðafoss waterfall and the volcanic landscape of Lake Mývatn. End the day with a soak at the Mývatn Nature Baths, and head out with your guide if the aurora forecast is good (about 120 km). Overnight at Lake Mývatn.
Day 4 - Lava Fields to East Iceland
Walk through the lava pillars of Dimmuborgir and the steaming mud pools of Námaskarð, then cross the highland plateau to East Iceland (about 250 km). Overnight in East Iceland.
Day 5 - East Fjords & Jökulsárlón
Drive the East Fjords past small fishing villages, with a stop at a local mineral collection. Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, comes into view as you reach the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon (boat trips run May–October only). About 260 km. Overnight in Höfn.
Day 6 - The South Coast
Cross the Eldhraun lava field inside Vatnajökull National Park, watch real molten lava at the Icelandic Lava Show, then walk on Reynisfjara black sand beach. Finish at Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, with another chance of Northern Lights in the evening (about 380 km). Overnight in Hella.
Day 7 - Golden Circle & Reykjavík
Meet Icelandic horses and see tomatoes grown under geothermal light at Friðheimar, then watch Strokkur erupt at Geysir, stand above Gullfoss and walk through Þingvellir National Park. A city tour of Reykjavík ends the day (about 160 km). Optional Northern Lights trips are available in the evening. Overnight in Reykjavík.

After breakfast, take the Flybus shuttle to Keflavík airport for your flight home (about 50 km).
