Day 11: This morning, we embark on the shinkansen bullet train, a marvel of modern engineering, taking us from Osaka to Kyoto at speeds reaching up to 280 km/h. The journey offers a rapid yet picturesque view of Japan's stunning countryside. Our first destination in Kyoto is Fushimi Inari Taisha, renowned for its thousands of red Shinto shrine gates.

We spend time exploring these gates and visiting the various shrines and temples within the area. Next, we head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove for an enchanting stroll through its towering bamboo forest. Our final stop in Kyoto is the Golden Pavilion, a World Heritage site. This three-story Buddhist temple, built in the 14th century as a villa for a powerful shogun, is almost entirely adorned with gold leaf.
