The grand Scandinavian summer journey. Fourteen days from Oslo to Stockholm by train, fjord cruise, bus and short flights: the Flåm Railway and the Nærøyfjord, two nights in Bergen, the midnight sun at the North Cape, Arctic Tromsø, the historic train into Swedish Lapland and a night at the Icehotel. It suits couples, families and retired travellers who want to see the best of Norway and Sweden in one unhurried trip, with five dinners included.
Fjords first. Ride the Bergen Railway over the mountains, drop down the steep Flåm Railway and spend a night in the fjord village. Next morning, cruise the narrow Nærøyfjord before two nights in Bergen, with the Fløien funicular and a free day for Bryggen’s wooden wharf. Don’t miss the evening trip to the North Cape: standing on the cliff at the top of Europe as the sun stays above the horizon at midnight.
Then the Arctic and Sweden. From Tromsø, a coastal bus runs to Narvik for the Arctic Circle train through Abisko National Park to Kiruna. Spend a night at the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi — open in summer with ice art rooms — then take the sleeper train to Stockholm for two nights, with a city tour and the SkyView ride on the Ericsson Globe.
Why go now? This tour runs from June to August, when the sun never sets above the Arctic Circle and the fjords are at their greenest. Flåm, Honningsvåg and the Icehotel have few rooms, so summer dates fill early. Norway and Sweden are Schengen countries — our team arranges your Schengen visa along with the tour.
Good to know: The journey uses public trains, a fjord cruise, buses and two short flights (Bergen – Honningsvåg and Honningsvåg – Tromsø, booked separately). The fjord cruise can be replaced by another transport in bad weather, and the Flåm night may move to a nearby fjord hotel when Flåm is full. The sleeper train is in a 2nd-class cabin, and breakfast is not served on the train. For a custom private package — your own dates, private vehicle and guide, upgraded stays — please contact our team for a personalised quote. Breakfast is included daily (except on the train), with dinners in Oslo, Flåm, Bergen, Tromsø and Stockholm. Flights from India to Oslo, home from Stockholm, and the two internal flights are booked separately — our team can book them for you, from any Indian city. Prices from €3,290 per person (about ₹3,61,900) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS. Final prices are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
Other ways to see Norway: for a short fjord trip, take Classic Norway in a Nutshell, 6 days. For the midnight sun in the Lofoten Islands, take Lofoten Islands & the Midnight Sun, 7 days. In winter, the Arctic Trail, 11 days crosses Finland, Norway and Sweden for the Northern Lights. See all routes on our Norway tour packages from India page.
