It is one of Spain's oldest cities, founded in the Roman period as "Valentia Edetanorum" on the site of an ancient Iberian town by the river Turia in the province of Edetania. Check into your hotel as you arrive. The rest of the day is free to do whatever you like at leisure. Overnight in the hotel.
