Two nights each in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, then north to Tromsø in Arctic Norway and Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland for the Northern Lights, before ending in Helsinki. It suits couples, families and first-time Scandinavia travellers who want the classic cities and a real chance of the aurora on the same holiday, with every city’s main sights included as guided tours.
Capitals first. Walk Copenhagen with a local guide and spend an evening at Tivoli Gardens, explore Stockholm’s medieval old town around the Royal Palace, and see Oslo’s Holmenkollen ski jump and Vigeland Sculpture Park. Don’t miss the Arctic half of the trip: a Northern Lights boat tour from Tromsø, a campfire aurora night and an ice-floating experience in Lapland, and a meeting with Santa at the Arctic Circle.

How the tour works. The sightseeing is on scheduled small-group (shared) tours, with private airport transfers in each city and breakfast daily. Your exact daily plan, flight and train times are set when you book, around your travel dates.
Why go now? This tour runs from October to March, the Northern Lights season in Tromsø and Lapland. Rovaniemi is busiest around Christmas, New Year and February, so book those dates early. All four countries are in the Schengen area — one Schengen visa covers the whole trip, and our team arranges it along with the tour.
Good to know: Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and no one can guarantee them. The tour needs a minimum of 2 travellers. Travel between the six cities (short flights or trains) is planned and quoted with your booking. Flights from India to Copenhagen and home from Helsinki are booked separately — our team can book them for you, from any Indian city. Your Scandinavian journey begins in Denmark’s colourful capital. A private transfer meets you at Copenhagen airport and takes you to your hotel.
Included: a 2-hour walking tour with a local guide, covering the must-see sights and hidden corners of the old city, with insider tips on where to eat and what to see next. Then use your skip-the-line ticket for Tivoli Gardens, founded in 1843 and the world’s second-oldest amusement park, with its gardens, historic rides, cafés and evening lights.
In your free time: the painted houses of Nyhavn harbour, the Little Mermaid statue and the royal palace at Amalienborg.

Travel on to Sweden’s capital, a city built across 14 islands. A private transfer takes you to your hotel.
Included: a guided walking tour of Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s old town, through cobbled lanes that still look as they did in the 16th century. Your guide tells the story of the city as you walk past the majestic Royal Palace and the old town squares.
In your free time: the Vasa Museum with its 17th-century warship, the island of Djurgården, and the view over the water from Södermalm.

Continue to Oslo, Norway’s capital at the head of the Oslofjord.
Included: a guided city tour by modern coach with a certified guide. See Oslo’s landmarks, ride up to the Holmenkollen ski jump for panoramic views over the city and fjord, and walk through the Vigeland Sculpture Park, home to more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, as you hear about his life and work.
In your free time: the Oslo Opera House, where you can walk on the roof, the waterfront at Aker Brygge, and the Munch Museum.

Head north to Tromsø, the capital of Arctic Norway, well inside the Northern Lights zone.
Included: a guided city tour with the Polar Museum. Learn about Norwegian and Sámi history and culture, see Tromsø’s historic sites, and hear the stories of the polar explorers who set out from here.
At night, board a boat for a Northern Lights tour with a local Tromsø company. Thermal suits, warm drinks and snacks keep you comfortable as you watch for the aurora from the water.
In your free time: the Arctic Cathedral and the Fjellheisen cable car for the view over the city.

Continue to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland, the official hometown of Santa Claus. This is the most packed stop of the trip.
Included: a visit to Santa Claus Village, where you cross the Arctic Circle and receive a certificate, meet Santa in person to share your Christmas wishes, and enjoy a buffet lunch.
On one evening, join a Northern Lights tour with hotel pick-up. Warm overalls and boots are provided, and you sit by a campfire for a Lappish BBQ of bread, sausages, salmon soup and blueberry tea (vegetarian and vegan options available).
On another evening, try Arctic ice-floating: in an insulated suit, float on a frozen lake under the night sky with a professional guide, watching for the aurora.

End your journey in Helsinki, Finland’s calm, seaside capital.
Included: a guided city tour by bus through the historic centre, with commentary in your choice of 11 languages. See the main sights and learn how the city grew from a small fishing town into a Nordic capital.
In your free time: Helsinki Cathedral and Senate Square, the Market Square by the harbour, and the island fortress of Suomenlinna.
On your last day, a private transfer takes you to Helsinki airport for your flight home.
