Following breakfast, take a one-hour canal cruise through Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Canal Cruise is an hour of must-see sights and amazing architecture. The Anne Frank House Museum and the Skinny Bridge are among the famous and illustrious monuments you will see. As you pass past the old Heritage Museum and the revered Westerkerk Church, take photos of the beautiful Amstel River. Amsterdam for the night. Optional Volendam, Maarken, Windmills Tour This excursion takes us to the countryside north of Amsterdam, where we will visit 'de Zaanse Schans,' a windmill hamlet. We continue through typical Dutch scenery to Volendam for a city tour and a visit to Marken, a traditional fisherman's village on the former Zuiderzee, as well as a demonstration in a cheese factory and a visit to a traditional clogmaker.
With breakfast, check out and head to Central railway station to catch a train to Paris, France's capital. The Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Eiffel Tower are all world-famous. Following breakfast, check out and make your own way to Paris Gare du Lyon Station, where you will board the high-speed TGV train to Basel, from which you will transfer to a connecting train to Lucerne. Lucerne is a charming historic town that is easy to navigate on walking. (The Swiss Travel pass, which is valid from Basel onwards, covers travel on Swiss public transportation, including trains, buses, and boats.) Lucerne overnight.
To visit Mt. Titlis, take the morning train to Engelberg. TITLIS Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car, glacier cave, TITLIS Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge, and TITLIS glacier park are all part of the TITLIS glacier park. Return to Lucerne in the afternoon and proceed to the pier just across from the train station. The boat excursion on Lake Lucerne is included in your Swiss ticket. The beauty, inland navigation attractions, and historical sites strewn along the seashore will all captivate you. Take a breath of fresh air on the outside deck. Take a nice long stroll down the antique and wooden Kappelbrucke (Chapel bridge) in the evening, and visit the famous Napoleon-era Lion Monument (a large dying lion carved out of a wall of sandstone rock above a pond, built as a memorial for the Swiss soldiers). After breakfast, go to Stans, the starting point for the Stanserhorn, in which the funicular and cable car will carry you up to the mountain. There are two decks on the CabriO cable vehicle. Jungfraujoch Icey air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view nearly takes your breath away: on one hand, the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other, the Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch, 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience. The journey itself is unique in a way that gives you the full view of the alpine valley. You can reach Jungfraujoch from Grindelwald base station and return to Lauterbrunnen base station, or you can do vice-versa!
Take a train from Lucerne to Milan. Milan is known as the Fashion and Design Capital of the World. Proceed to the Milan City Sightseeing Hop-on Hop-off Tour after that (1 day).
