Hotels with buffet breakfast, the overnight ferry cabin, the coach with an English-speaking guide and guided city tours of Oslo and Copenhagen are arranged before you leave. The arrival transfer in Oslo is not part of this short tour, so our team can add one for you.
You arrive in Oslo on Sunday and have the rest of the day to settle in by the harbour. The next morning a local guide shows you the city named European Green Capital: the Royal Palace at the top of Karl Johans gate, Frogner Park with the more than 200 granite and bronze figures of Gustav Vigeland, the red-brick City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded, the old port and the white marble Opera House, whose sloping roof you can walk right up to the top. There is time for one of Oslo’s museums — the Viking Ships, the Munch Museum or the Fram polar ship are favourites — before you board the ship.
In the afternoon you board a modern overnight ferry with the comforts of a small cruise ship — restaurants, cafés, shops and an open deck — and sail south down the long Oslofjord, past islands, lighthouses and summer cottages, while the evening light lasts late into the night in summer. You sleep in your cabin and wake up as the ship sails into Copenhagen around 10 am, with breakfast included.
A local guide meets you for a tour by coach and on foot: the Little Mermaid, the painted gabled houses and old wooden ships of Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace where the Danish royal family lives, City Hall Square and the area around Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. The afternoon is free for a canal cruise, shopping on the Strøget, a visit to Rosenborg Castle or an evening at Tivoli, and the tour ends after breakfast the next morning.

May to September brings long daylight, mild weather and the best sailing on the Oslofjord. Departures are on Sundays from May 2027. Norway and Denmark are in the Schengen area, so Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa. Our visa team prepares the file and books the appointment — start about two to three months before travel.
Breakfast is included every day, including on the ferry; lunches and dinners are on your own. There is no arrival transfer in Oslo on this short tour — our team can add one. International flights into Oslo and out of Copenhagen are booked separately — our team can book them from any Indian city.
