Danish design and fairy-tale towns, the North Sea, and the deepest fjords and highest waterfalls of Norway come together on this 8 Days Denmark and Norway Fjords Tour — a guided coach round trip from Copenhagen to Stavanger, Bergen and Oslo, with three sea crossings and a night on a cruise-style ferry. It is planned and supported by IMAD Travel, an IATA-certified travel agency in Hyderabad serving travellers from across India since 2011. Prefer to travel at your own pace? Our team can also arrange this same route, or a similar one, as a custom package for your family or group, with your own dates and hotels — just quote the tour code IMAD-EU-61767 when you contact us. Departures run every Wednesday from May 2027.

Hotels with buffet breakfast, the arrival transfer, the coach with an English-speaking guide, guided tours of Copenhagen and Oslo, the North Sea ferry, the fjord-coast boat crossings, the Mount Fløyen funicular and the overnight cabin ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen are arranged before you leave.
Copenhagen and the land of Hans Christian Andersen
Your journey begins in Copenhagen, often named the happiest city in the world. A local guide shows you the capital by coach and on foot: the Little Mermaid on her rock, the painted 17th-century houses and wooden boats of Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace where the royal family lives, City Hall Square and the area around Tivoli Gardens. Then the road crosses the long sea bridge to the island of Funen and Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, whose Gothic cathedral and old streets feel like a page from his stories. The evening is free in Aarhus, Denmark’s young and creative second city.
Across the North Sea to Norway
From Hirtshals at the northern tip of Denmark, a ferry carries you three hours across the North Sea to Kristiansand in Norway — lunch is usually on board. The coach then follows Norway’s wild southern coast through the little town of Flekkefjord to Stavanger, a harbour town of white wooden houses on the edge of the fjords, where you spend the night.
The fjord coast to Bergen
Leaving Stavanger, you stop at Swords in Rock, three giant Viking swords planted in the shore, and then follow the fjord coast by tunnels, bridges and two relaxing ferry crossings — one of the tunnels is the deepest undersea road tunnel in the world. You reach Bergen, the gateway to the fjords, at lunchtime, and the funicular up Mount Fløyen (included) gives you the classic view over the colourful wharf of Bryggen, the harbour and the islands. The afternoon is free to explore the fish market and the old wooden lanes.
Hardanger Fjord and Vøringsfossen
This is the most spectacular day of the tour. You cross the great Hardanger Bridge over one of Norway’s most beautiful fjords, stop in Eidfjord at the water’s edge and walk the viewpoints and bridges of Vøringsfossen, Norway’s most famous waterfall, which plunges 182 metres into a canyon. The road then climbs onto the high, empty plateau of Hardangervidda, dotted with lakes and snowfields for much of the year, to Geilo, a mountain ski resort, for lunch, before descending through forests to Oslo in the evening.
Oslo and the cruise ferry home
A local guide shows you Oslo, the European Green Capital: the Royal Palace, the hundreds of human sculptures by Gustav Vigeland in Frogner Park, the City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded, the old port and the white marble Opera House you can walk on top of. After free time for a museum, you board a modern overnight ferry with the comforts of a cruise ship and sail down the Oslofjord to Denmark in your cabin. You arrive in Copenhagen at about 10 am, with the whole day free to enjoy the city once more.
Who this tour suits
This 8 days Scandinavia tour including Copenhagen, Bergen, the Hardanger Fjord and Oslo suits travellers who want real fjord scenery without a long Norway-only trip; families and couples who enjoy ferries, viewpoints and waterfalls; and first-time visitors to Scandinavia who like a guided coach tour with the main crossings and city tours arranged. Some days are long, with early starts, so it suits travellers who enjoy the journey as much as the stops.
Best time to go and visa
May to September is the season for this route — long daylight, open mountain roads and full waterfalls in early summer; June and July are the busiest months. Departures are on Wednesdays from May 2027. Denmark and Norway are in the Schengen area, so Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa. Our visa team prepares the file and books the appointment — start about two to three months before travel.
Good to know before you book
Breakfast is included every day (including on the ferry); lunches and dinners are on your own, and Scandinavia is expensive for eating out, so budget accordingly — vegetarian food is easy to find in the cities. Pack layers and a rain jacket even in summer for the fjords and the mountain plateau. International flights into and out of Copenhagen are booked separately — our team can book them from any Indian city. Prices start from €1,455 per person (₹1,60,100 at €1 = ₹110, October 2026) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
