The arrival transfer, hotels with breakfast, two lunches, the Glacier 3000 cable car, the Geneva city tour, the Cailler chocolate tasting, and entry to Chillon Castle and the Aare Gorge are arranged before you leave.
After a night in Zurich, the coach heads to Bern, the Swiss capital, whose arcaded old town and clock tower are a UNESCO site. The road then climbs through the chalet villages of the Gstaad region to Glacier 3000, at about 3,000 metres. The cable car and lunch are included, and you can walk the suspension bridge strung between two peaks, with snow under your feet even in summer. Descending to Lake Geneva, you visit Chillon Castle, a medieval fortress built on the water, and drive along the vineyards of Montreux to Geneva.
A morning tour of Geneva shows you the Palace of Nations, the flower clock in the English Garden and the Jet d’Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe. In Lausanne you stop at the lakeside Olympic Park, home of the International Olympic Committee. Then comes medieval Gruyères, famous for its cheese, and the Cailler chocolate factory, Switzerland’s oldest chocolate brand still in production, where the tasting is included. It’s a favourite with children and grown-ups alike.
Small roads through the canton of Bern bring you to Interlaken, between the turquoise lakes of Thun and Brienz, below the Jungfrau peaks. You walk through the narrow ravine of the Aare Gorge (entry included) and have lunch (included), then cross the Susten Pass, with its glaciers and eternal snow, and pass through the Gotthard tunnel into Italian-speaking Switzerland. In Lugano you have free time on the palm-lined lake promenade before the night in Chiasso.
Bellinzona, capital of the Ticino, is guarded by three medieval castles on UNESCO’s list. You then climb the Gotthard Pass for a photo stop and reach Altdorf, the town of William Tell. The last stop is Lucerne, where you walk across the wooden Chapel Bridge and see the Lion Monument and the Jesuit Church, before a lakeside photo stop in Zurich.
It suits travellers with a week or less who want more of Switzerland than just Lucerne and Interlaken; families with children who will love the glacier, the chocolate factory and the castles; honeymoon couples; and anyone who wants to see the French and Italian sides of Switzerland as well as the German side.
May to October is the best time for the passes and lakes. In winter the Aare Gorge closes (Brienz is visited instead), and when snow closes the Susten Pass the route crosses the Brünig Pass. Glacier 3000 has snow all year. Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa, which our visa team can prepare. Start about two to three months before travel.
The tour starts and ends in Zurich, so book a return flight to Zurich. The Geneva hotel is usually on the French outskirts of the city, and the Chiasso night may be in the Como area of Italy. Breakfast is included daily, plus the two lunches. Jungfraujoch, Mount Titlis and Zermatt are not on this route, but our team can add extra nights for them. Prices start from €1,235 per person (₹1,35,900 at €1 = ₹110, October 2026) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates.
