Hotels with buffet breakfast, the arrival transfer, the coach with an English-speaking guide, city tours of Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris, evening transfers in Lisbon and Madrid, a dinner in Leysin, the Glacier 3000 cable car, the Seine cruise, and tickets to the Bernabéu Stadium, Poblet Monastery, Carrières des Lumières, Chillon Castle, the Cailler chocolate factory and the Eiffel Tower second floor are arranged before you leave.
The journey begins with two nights in Lisbon, a city of steep lanes, painted tiles and soft Atlantic light that the Portuguese describe with the word *saudade*. The sightseeing tour climbs through its old quarters and continues to Belém, from where the great navigators sailed in the 15th century — the same age of voyages that brought Vasco da Gama to India. The afternoon is free for the Bairro Alto and its viewpoint, or for an optional trip to the palaces of Sintra and the seaside towns of Cascais and Estoril. In the evening you return to the hotel from lively Restauradores Square.
Leaving early, the coach crosses the rolling Alentejo, with a coffee stop in Estremoz, a peaceful town of white houses below a medieval castle. In Spain, you have lunch and a stroll in Cáceres, whose stone old town is one of the best-preserved medieval and Renaissance centres in Europe. In Madrid, an evening transfer takes you to the busy Plaza Mayor. The next morning’s tour covers the grand boulevards and fountains — Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcalá and Plaza de Colón — and continues to Retiro Park, with its lake and glass Crystal Palace. Football fans will love the included visit to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. The afternoon is free, and in the evening there is a transfer back from the tapas bars of La Latina.
Crossing Castile and Aragon, you stop in Zaragoza to see the great Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar on the River Ebro, and then visit Poblet Abbey, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world (tickets included), before reaching Barcelona in the evening. The next morning’s tour shows the city of Gaudí’s modernist buildings, the busy Ramblas and the hills of the 1992 Olympics. In the evening you travel north to Girona for a walk through its colourful riverside houses, old Jewish quarter and cathedral.
In France the coach enters Provence. In Arles, the UNESCO-listed town where Van Gogh painted some of his best-known works, you have time to see the Roman theatre and Romanesque churches and to have lunch. Then comes one of the tour’s most unusual moments: Carrières des Lumières, where giant works of art are projected with music onto the walls of an old stone quarry (included; if it is closed or fully booked, the tour visits the Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard instead). The night is in Chambéry, the old capital of Savoy, with a medieval centre and a large castle.
Switzerland begins in Geneva, where your guide takes you to the Palais des Nations, the European home of the United Nations, the flower clock in the English Garden and the Jet d’Eau fountain on the lake. Next is Gruyères, a walled hill village famous for its cheese, and a sweet visit to the Maison Cailler chocolate factory with tasting (included). Scenic roads lead past wooden villages to Chillon Castle, standing on a rock in Lake Geneva (entry included), and up to Leysin, a mountain village with wide views of the Rhône Valley and Mont Blanc, where dinner is included. On some dates the night is in another Alpine town such as Martigny.
Pack warm clothes for the highlight of the Swiss days: the Glacier 3000 cable car carries you up to a world of ice and snow that lasts all year, where you can cross the suspension bridge between two peaks or explore the Ice Cathedral (if the cable car is closed by weather, an equally scenic alpine alternative is offered). After lunch in Interlaken, between its two lakes, you continue to Lucerne, with its wooden Chapel Bridge and lakefront, and reach Zurich in the evening, with time to walk through the centre.
On the way to Paris, the tour stops in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace, where half-timbered houses and a soaring Gothic cathedral mix French and German heritage. In Paris, the first full day takes you to the Palace of Versailles and its famous gardens (palace admission is not included, so you can choose what to visit), then to the artists’ hill of Montmartre, followed by a panoramic tour of the city with a local guide. The next morning you go up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower (tickets included) and enjoy a cruise of about an hour and fifteen minutes on the Seine, with the afternoon free for the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées or shopping.
This 13 days tour including Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Glacier 3000, Lucerne and Paris suits first-time visitors to Europe who want more than the usual Paris–Switzerland circuit; families with teenagers who will enjoy the Bernabéu, the chocolate factory and the glacier; couples who love old towns, food and scenery; and friends who like a guided coach tour with hotels, guides and many entry tickets already arranged. It moves at a good pace, with several early starts and a few one-night stops, so it is best for travellers who are happy to pack and move on.
April to June and September to October are ideal — pleasant weather in Portugal and Spain, green Alpine valleys and fewer crowds; July and August are hot in Iberia but bring the longest days in the mountains. Glacier 3000 has snow all year, so warm clothes are needed even in summer. Departures are on Thursdays. Portugal, Spain, France and Switzerland are all in the Schengen area, so one Schengen visa covers the whole tour for Indian passport holders. Our visa team prepares the file and books the appointment — start about two to three months before travel.
Breakfast is included every day, plus dinner in Leysin; other meals are on your own, and Indian and vegetarian food is easy to find in Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Zurich and Paris. Palace admission at Versailles is not part of the tour, and after the Seine cruise you return to the hotel on your own. International flights into Lisbon and out of Paris are booked separately — our team can book them from any Indian city. Prices start from €2,015 per person (₹2,21,700 at €1 = ₹110, October 2026) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
