In a press release dated 5 October 2026, the airline confirmed Navi Mumbai as its 14th destination and fifth station in Maharashtra, with scheduled services planned to Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Goa (Mopa) and Agatti as part of its winter schedule. A ceremonial Fly91 flight landed at Navi Mumbai International Airport that morning, arriving from Hyderabad.
What the airline has not published is a schedule. There is no flight number, no days of week, no timings, no start date and no fare for the Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg sector, and we could not find it on any booking channel on 5 October 2026.
This page is checked against the airline’s own filings rather than against announcements. A 15 August 2026 launch target for this route was announced earlier this year and passed without a single flight operating, which is why every update below carries a verification date. Has the Navi Mumbai to Chipi flight started?
No. As of 5 October 2026 the Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg (Chipi) sector is not bookable, but it has moved closer than at any point this year.
Fly91 has now named the sector itself. Its 5 October 2026 release confirms Navi Mumbai as the airline’s 14th destination and fifth in Maharashtra, with scheduled services planned to Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Goa (Mopa) and Agatti this winter. Founder, managing director and CEO Manoj Chacko is quoted in that release saying the airline will operate flights from Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Goa and Agatti, and that Fly91 will run over 350 weekly flights across 14 destinations this winter schedule.
What the release does not contain is a schedule: no flight number, no days of week, no timings, no start date and no fares. Press reports put the start at end of October 2026 and say winter-schedule tickets are open for sale, but that start date and sale status come from media coverage rather than from the airline, and on 5 October 2026 we could not find Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg inventory on any booking channel. Sindhudurg remains sellable only from Pune and Bengaluru.
So treat this as a confirmed airline announcement with a stated winter intention, not a flight you can buy. An earlier 15 August 2026 target for this route was announced and passed without flights operating, which is the reason we check the airline’s filings rather than the announcements.

Watch the Pune flights on a Saturday: both directions leave earlier. IC5306 leaves Pune at 07:45 instead of 08:45, and IC5305 leaves Chipi at 09:15 instead of 10:25. That catches people out.

Chipi, Sindhudurg or Malvan — which airport name is right?
All three name the same airport, and mixing them up is the commonest booking error.
- Sindhudurg Airport is official — SDW is the code on your ticket.
- Chipi is the local name, after Chipi-Parule village in Vengurla taluka.
- Malvan is the best-known nearby town, but it is a separate town in a neighbouring taluka — 37 minutes away by road, not at the airport.
Book SDW, expect locals to say Chipi, and plan the drive to Malvan.

Fastest routes run via Sagari Mahamarg; Kudal via Sagari Mahamarg and SH119.
Two things people get wrong: Tarkarli is farther than Malvan, not nearer. And Malvan town starts before Malvan Beach, so a town stay is under 37 minutes. Kudal is the Konkan Railway town, making a train-in, fly-out trip practical.
Can Chipi (Sindhudurg) airport handle night flights?
Yes — night landing has been sanctioned, with central government permission obtained, and roughly ₹2.5 crore spent through MSEB strengthening the airport’s power supply. Both were announced in late July 2026.
This matters more than any launch announcement. Unreliable power and no night-landing capability were the practical reasons larger airlines avoided Chipi and why services here have been patchy. Night operations widen the usable slot window at both ends — which is what makes a Mumbai-region rotation commercially workable.
