Hotels with buffet breakfast, the arrival transfer, a night ferry cabin to Crete, the coach with an English-speaking guide, the Athens city tour and Plaka transfer, three ferries, the Spinalonga boat, dinner in Kalambaka, and entry to a Meteora monastery, Delphi, Hosios Loukas, the Palace of Knossos with a guided tour, Panagia Kera and Spinalonga are arranged before you leave.
Athens, cradle of the West
After your arrival transfer, the first full day starts with a panoramic tour of Athens — the marble Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympics were held, the Royal Palace with its evzone guards and the grand neoclassical avenues of the capital. The rest of the day is free for the Acropolis and its museum (entry not included, so you choose your own time), and in the evening a transfer takes you to Plaka, the old quarter of narrow lanes and tavernas below the Parthenon.
Thermopylae, Meteora and Delphi
An early start takes you north along the coast to Kamena Vourla and the pass of Thermopylae, where Leonidas and his 300 Spartans made their famous stand. After lunch in the village of Kastraki, you enter Meteora, a UNESCO landscape of giant rock pillars crowned by monasteries, and go inside one of them (entry included); dinner is included in Kalambaka. The next day crosses Thessaly to Delphi, the sanctuary of Apollo on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, with entry to the archaeological site and its view over the Gulf of Corinth, followed by Hosios Loukas, a Byzantine monastery famous for its golden mosaics (entry included), before returning to Athens.
By night ferry to Crete
After a free morning in Athens, you board a modern overnight ferry at Piraeus, with cruise-style comforts and a double cabin, and wake up at 7 am in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. The first island day heads west to Rethymno, a coastal town of Venetian origin below its medieval fortress, and on to Chania, perhaps the most beautiful town in Crete, whose harbour, lighthouse and mansions tell the story of Romans, Byzantines, Venetians and Ottomans.
Knossos, the Libyan Sea and Spinalonga
Next you step back four thousand years at the Palace of Knossos, centre of the Minoan civilisation, with entry and a guided tour included. The road then crosses the mountains to the south coast and Agia Galini, a fishing village on the Libyan Sea, with time for lunch and a swim (from November to April the tour visits Matala, with its caves carved in the cliffs). Another day takes you east to Kritsa and the 13th-century frescoes of Panagia Kera (entry included), lunch by the harbour lake of Agios Nikolaos, and a boat from Elounda to Spinalonga, a Venetian island fortress later used as a leper colony and made famous by the novel The Island.
A day on Santorini
On the ninth day a high-speed ferry carries you from Heraklion to Santorini, arriving around 9–10 am. You drive to Oia, the island’s most spectacular village of white houses, blue domes and windmills hanging over the caldera, with time for lunch and photos, and then visit Fira, the capital on the cliff edge — the brave can ride the cable car down to the old port. An afternoon ferry brings you back to Athens around midnight. From November to mid-April the Santorini ferry does not run and the group flies from Heraklion to Athens instead — this tour’s departures from April 2027 are planned for the Santorini season.
Who this tour suits
This 10 days Greece tour including Athens, Meteora, Delphi, Crete and Santorini suits travellers who want both the mainland’s ancient sites and island life in one trip; couples and honeymooners who want Santorini without a separate island booking; families interested in history and mythology; and anyone who likes a guided tour that includes ferries, cabins and most entry tickets. There are early starts, a night on a ferry and one very long Santorini day, so it suits travellers comfortable with an active pace.
Best time to go and visa
Late April to June and September to October are ideal — warm sea, pleasant temperatures for the archaeological sites and the Santorini ferry running; July and August are hot and busy. Departures are on Sundays from April 2027. Greece is in the Schengen area, so Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa for this tour. Our visa team prepares the file and books the appointment — start about two to three months before travel.
Good to know before you book

International flights into and out of Athens are booked separately — our team can book them from any Indian city. Prices start from €1,835 per person (₹2,01,900 at €1 = ₹110, October 2026) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
