From the Acropolis to the stadium of the first Olympic Games, this 8 Days Greece Tour Package is a guided group tour of mainland Greece and the Peloponnese — Meteora’s cliff-top monasteries, Delphi, the island of Poros, the theatre of Epidaurus, Nafplio, Olympia and Mycenae, with most site tickets already included. It is planned and supported by IMAD Travel, an IATA-certified travel agency in Hyderabad serving travellers from across India since 2011. Prefer to travel on your own? Our team can also arrange this same route, or a similar one, as a custom package for your family or group, with your own dates, hotels and pace — just quote the tour code IMAD-EU-33172 when you contact us.

Hotels with breakfast, three dinners, the guided Athens city tour, the coach with an English-speaking guide, and admissions at Meteora, Delphi, Hosios Loukas, Epidaurus, Olympia, Mycenae and Acrocorinth are arranged before you leave.
Athens: the Acropolis, Plaka and the first modern Olympics
The tour opens with two nights in Athens. A local guide leads the city tour past the Presidential Mansion and its guards, the marble Panathenaic Stadium that hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, the National Library and the squares of the centre, then out to the districts rebuilt for the 2004 Games. The tour ends at the foot of the Acropolis, where the Parthenon has stood for almost 2,500 years (the ticket is paid on the spot). In the evening a transfer takes you to Plaka, the old quarter below the rock, for a first Greek dinner in its lanes of tavernas and bougainvillea.
Thermopylae, Kastraki and the monasteries of Meteora
On Day 3 the coach heads north via the seaside town of Kamena Vourla and Thermopylae, the pass where Leonidas and his 300 Spartans held back the Persian army in 480 BC. Lunch is in Kastraki, a village tucked under giant rock pillars, before the climb to Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where monks built monasteries on top of sandstone towers six centuries ago. Admission to one monastery is included — cover shoulders and knees for the visit. Dinner and the night are in Kalambaka.
Delphi and Hosios Loukas
Driving south through the plains of Thessaly, you reach Delphi, the sanctuary the ancient Greeks called the navel of the world, set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus above olive groves and the Gulf of Corinth. Admission to the archaeological site is included. After lunch the coach stops at Hosios Loukas, one of the most beautiful Byzantine monasteries in Greece, known for its gold-ground 11th-century mosaics (admission included), and you are back in Athens in the evening.
Corinth Canal, Poros island and the theatre of Epidaurus
Day 5 is the day that sets this tour apart. Crossing into the Peloponnese, you stop at the Corinth Canal, cut through solid rock to link the Aegean and the Ionian seas. From the little port of Galatas a 15-minute ferry takes you to Poros, a cheerful island of old houses climbing up to its Clock Tower, with free time for lunch by the water. Back on the mainland the road winds through green hills to the Theatre of Epidaurus (admission included), built 2,400 years ago for 14,000 spectators and still used for summer performances — its acoustics are so good that a coin dropped on the stage can be heard from the top row.
Nafplio: Greece’s most romantic old town
The night is in Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece, a seaside town of Venetian mansions, marble streets and balconies full of flowers, watched over by the Palamidi fortress on its hill and the little sea castle of Bourtzi in the bay. There is free time for an evening stroll along the harbour, and dinner is included.
Arcadia, Ancient Olympia and Patras
The coach crosses the mountains of the Peloponnese to Tripoli, capital of Arcadia, for a break on Areos Square, then continues to Ancient Olympia, where the Olympic Games began in 776 BC. A local guide shows you the Temple of Zeus, the stadium, the gymnasium and the training grounds (tickets included) — many travellers like to run the old stadium track themselves. The day ends in Patras, Greece’s third-largest city, home to the country’s largest cathedral and the old church of St Andrew, an important pilgrimage place. Dinner is included.
Nafpaktos, Mycenae and Acrocorinth
The last touring day crosses the Rio–Antirrio bridge, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, to Nafpaktos, the old Lepanto, with its Venetian fortress and pretty harbour. Along the Gulf of Corinth you reach Mycenae, the citadel of King Agamemnon from the 18th century BC, entered through the famous Lion Gate (admission included). The final stop is Acrocorinth, a fortress on a high rock with the remains of a temple of Aphrodite at its summit (admission included), before one more look at the Corinth Canal and the evening drive to Athens.
Who this Greece tour suits
This 8 days Greece tour including Meteora, Delphi, Poros, Epidaurus, Nafplio and Olympia suits travellers who love history and want to see the great sites of ancient Greece in one week; families with school-age children studying the Olympics and Greek myths; senior travellers who prefer a guided coach tour with tickets arranged; and couples who want something more than a beach holiday. Island lovers can add Mykonos or Santorini after the tour — or choose our 10 days Greece tour with the islands.
Best time to go and visa
April to June and September to October are ideal for sightseeing — pleasant temperatures for the archaeological sites and fewer crowds; July and August are hot at midday, so carry a hat and water. Departures are on Sundays. Greece is part of the Schengen area, so Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa applied through the Greek consulate — our visa team prepares the file, so start about two to three months before travel.
Good to know before you book
Breakfast is included every day, with dinners in Kalambaka, Nafplio and Patras; other meals are on your own, and Athens has many vegetarian and Indian restaurants. The Acropolis ticket is paid locally. The archaeological sites are open-air and partly uneven, so bring comfortable shoes. International flights into and out of Athens are booked separately — our team can book them from any Indian city. Prices start from €1,221 per person (₹1,34,310 at €1 = ₹110, October 2026) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
