As a Westerner, you are free to wear whatever you want as long as it is not too revealing, such as skintight jeans or low-cut blouses. It is absolutely essential for women to cover their legs as much as possible with long skirts or pants. Except in beach resorts, shorts are never acceptable. Always wear a hat. It is critical for sun protection. Men, on the other hand, should not wear turbans. While on your tour of Himachal Pradesh, you should bring cotton clothing, hats, sun glasses, and sun screen lotion.
