Tour's Location

What is the climate like in Northeast India?

The weather in the northeast varies by region. The northeast region's geography is extremely changeable. In winter, snow falls in select high-altitude areas of Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang and Mayodiya regions, while the lowlands of Assam and Tripura remain relatively cool. Meghalaya's hilly terrain also experiences bitter cold throughout the winter, though snowfall has not been observed yet. Winters are also bitterly cold in Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram's highland regions. Summer, on the other hand, is quite hot in Assam and Tripura's plains. It is nice in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram's hilly regions. Summer is not as prevalent in Arunachal Pradesh's high altitude regions as it is in the low altitude parts, yet there is some heat in the low altitude regions.

When is the best time of year to travel to Northeast India?

Between September and May is the best time to visit Tawang. Between June and January is the best time to visit Shillong and Cherrapunji. While you may visit Meghalaya at any time of year, the ideal time to see the waterfalls is during the summer. Between November and April is the best time to visit Kaziranga (and other Assam national parks). Officially, the national parks are only open throughout the winter, often from November to April.

When are we permitted to visit Kamakhya Temple?

Early morning is the best time to visit Kamakhya temple. There are three admission lineups for the Kamakhya visit, from which you can choose one: Regular entry: This queue begins in the morning and continues until the gate closes at 1 pm. VIP admission requires a purchased ticket and is speedier than ordinary admission. This queue is open 24 hours a day and is the quickest of the three, although the visit should be brief.

In the Northeast, which mobile network service providers are available?

As of mid-2019, Airtel, Vodafone/Idea, and BSNL are all operational in all northeastern states, including Arunachal Pradesh. Reliance Jio is fully functional in all states except Arunachal Pradesh.
