New One-Year Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa 2026: What It Means for Indian Pilgrims

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for one year. Announced on 21 July 2026 and carried by the Saudi Press Agency, it lets a pilgrim enter the Kingdom several times across 365 days for a cumulative stay of up to 90 days — instead of applying for a fresh visa every single time. For Indian families who like to return during Ramadan, school holidays and the cooler winter months, this is one of the most useful Umrah changes in years.

What the new multiple-entry Umrah visa actually gives you

One visa, valid 365 days, multiple entries, 90 cumulative days in the Kingdom. The clock is counted cumulatively — every day you spend in Saudi Arabia across all your trips adds up toward the 90-day cap. Leave after 12 days and you still have 78 days to use on later visits within the same year.

The headline benefits confirmed by the Ministry:

• Valid for one year from the date of issuance.
• Multiple entries — perform Umrah as many times as you like within that year, subject to the day cap.
• Unused days carry forward. Any portion of the 90 days you don’t use on one trip stays available for future visits inside the visa’s validity.
• The visa suspends when you leave and reactivates for your next visit once you’ve met the requirements again (more on that below).

One firm restriction: the visa cannot be used during the Hajj season (from 1 Dhul-Qi’dah to 13 Dhul-Hijjah). Hajj requires its own separate visa. Outside that window, the year is yours. These terms were confirmed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah via the Saudi Press Agency on 21 July 2026.

The catch: every visit needs a fresh Nusuk package and permit

This is the detail that decides how you book. The one-year visa is not a free pass to fly in whenever you want. For each entry into the Kingdom, the Ministry requires two things:

1. A service package purchased from an accredited provider listed on the Nusuk platform. The package duration cannot exceed the number of days remaining on your visa.
2. An Umrah permit obtained through the Nusuk app before you travel. The permit dates must match your approved service package.

So the visa is the yearlong key, but each trip still needs its own booked package and permit before you fly. Miss either and the visa alone won’t get you in. This is also why the visa “reactivates once regulatory requirements have been fulfilled” — those requirements are the per-visit package and permit.
