Austria is the Europe of postcards — Alpine valleys, lakes with castles, Mozart’s Salzburg and imperial Vienna — and this 7 Days Austria Tour Package shows it at its best, starting in Prague and passing through Munich on the way. In one week you visit three countries, take two scenic boat rides and see the crystal world of Swarovski. It is a guided group tour planned and supported by IMAD Travel, an IATA-certified travel agency in Hyderabad serving travellers from across India since 2011. Prefer to travel on your own? Our team can also arrange this same route, or a similar one, as a custom package for your family or group, with your own dates, hotels and pace — just quote the tour code IMAD-EU-11491 when you contact us.

Hotels with breakfast, the arrival transfer, guided city tours in Prague and Vienna, Prague Castle and Swarovski admissions, the Vltava and Traunsee cruises and evening transfers to Prague’s Old Town Square and Vienna’s Grinzing are all arranged before you leave.
Prague: a Baroque jewel to begin
You arrive in Prague, and in the evening a transfer takes you to the Old Town Square, with its Astronomical Clock and Gothic towers, for dinner at one of its many restaurants — Indian included. On Day 2 a local guide shows you the city’s great monuments, with a visit to Prague Castle (admission included) and St Vitus Cathedral, followed by a relaxing boat ride on the Vltava with views of Charles Bridge. The afternoon is free to wander the cobbled lanes.
Munich and Innsbruck: into the Alps
Day 3 crosses into Bavaria. In Munich you have free time around the Marienplatz and its Glockenspiel, with lunch in a traditional beer hall if you like. In the afternoon the road climbs into Austria and the heart of the Alps to Innsbruck, capital of the Tyrol, ringed by snow-capped peaks, with dinner near the famous Golden Roof in the old town.
Swarovski, Kitzbühel and Salzburg
Day 4 begins at the Swarovski crystal museum (admission included), where giant installations and sparkling chambers show how the famous crystals are made, set in gardens below the mountains. After a stroll in Innsbruck, scenic mountain roads lead to Kitzbühel, the elegant ski town that hosts the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill race, and on to Salzburg by the end of the day.
Salzburg, St Wolfgang and Lake Traunsee
On Day 5 you explore Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, a Renaissance and Baroque old town under the great Hohensalzburg fortress — familiar to many from The Sound of Music. The road then winds through the lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut to St Wolfgang, a pilgrimage village on its lake, and to Traunkirchen, where an included cruise on Lake Traunsee passes four lakeside castles before you land at Gmunden. You reach Vienna in the evening.
Vienna: imperial palaces and Grinzing evenings
Two nights in Vienna end the tour in style. A local guide shows you the Ringstrasse with its palaces, the Hofburg, the State Opera, St Stephen’s Cathedral and the great parks, with a free afternoon for the Schönbrunn Palace or a slice of Sachertorte in a classic café. In the evening a transfer takes you to Grinzing, an old wine village inside the city, for dinner in a traditional tavern.
Who this Austria tour suits
This 7 days Austria holiday with Prague and Munich suits couples and honeymooners who love mountains, lakes and romantic old towns; families who enjoy boat rides and the Swarovski world; music and history lovers drawn to Mozart’s Salzburg and imperial Vienna; and travellers who want three countries in one week at a comfortable pace.
Best time to go and visas
May to September is ideal for the lakes and mountain roads; April and October are quieter with autumn or spring colours; late November and December bring Christmas markets in Prague, Salzburg and Vienna, with snow in the Alps. Departures are on Mondays. Indian passport holders need one Schengen visa for the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, applied through Austria, where you spend four of the six nights. Our visa team prepares the file, so start about two to three months before travel.
Good to know before you book
Breakfast is included every day; lunches and dinners are on your own, and Prague and Vienna have good Indian and vegetarian restaurants. The Czech Republic uses the koruna; Germany and Austria use the euro. Pack a warm layer for the Alps, even in summer. Fly into Prague and home from Vienna, leaving after the late morning on Day 7. Prices start from €920 per person (about ₹1,01,200) on twin sharing, excluding GST and TCS, and are recalculated for your exact travel dates and season.
