Morocco is a region of tremendous diversity as well as a gateway to Africa. Here you’ll find epic mountain ranges, old villages, vast deserts, and great friendliness. The country’s rich historical heritage is reflected in its modern culture. Morocco’s cuisine, dialects, art, and landmarks reflect the diverse races, religions, and nationalities that have made their mark on the country’s culture. Because of its rich cultural legacy, Morocco has long been a favorite destination for international artists.

However, the country has its own thriving artistic sector, with award-winning literature, cinema, and popular music.

Morocco’s cultural diversity is celebrated through film, music, and art festivals conducted around the country, notably at Marrakesh, Essaouira, Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, Tangier, and Dakhla, among others. Moroccan gastronomy combines Berber, Andalusian, Arab, and Mediterranean cooking traditions. Nonetheless, Berber cuisine such as couscous, tagine, and harira are well-known.

Tour's Location

Is English spoken commonly in Morocco?

English is a second language that is taught in schools. You should not, however, expect everyone you meet to be able to communicate in English. If this is an issue, hiring a trilingual tour guide for your small or private group tour may be more cost-effective.

What currency is accepted in Morocco?

The Moroccan dirham is the country's official currency. Credit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs dispensing local currency abound.

What is the good time to travel to Morocco?

The best time to visit Morocco is in the spring, from March to May, or in the autumn, from September to October. If you prefer bright and sunny weather or don't mind the cold, the other months can be delightful.

Is Morocco a good location for families?

Morocco is an excellent family vacation destination, offering activities to suit all ages. Enjoy a hot-air balloon trip over Marrakech, a visit to the Ourika Valley, a camel ride in the Sahara Desert, a visit to Fez's colorful medina, and so much more. All travelers should visit this moderate Muslim North African country.
